The historic market town of Faversham in Kent mentioned in The Domesday Book will be part of the commemorative events with the staging of this major exhibition. The centrepiece for visitors will be the display of the Magna Carta issued to Faversham in 1300 which contains the last reissue of King Edward I’s seal.
The exhibition will also feature the collection of Faversham Charters which along with the Magna Carta are rarely on public display and are recognised as being a ‘magnificent collection’.
The exhibition will be staged in The Alexander Centre which in the centre of the town and entrance will be free.
