The history of Magna Carta and King John will be told in a new exhibition that will be open in the Spring of 2015 at Worcester Cathedral. It will include the immediate political aftermath of Magna Carta: Simon de Montfort and the Battle of Evesham. The later Legacy of Magna Carta: the English Civil war and Battle of Worcester. The legacy of Magna Carta today: reflections on liberty, slavery and human rights. It will also include King John’s Will, Worcester in the time of King John, King John’s tomb, the importance of the effigy and the legacy of the burial in Worcester.
As well as interpretive boards, there will also be information in digital touch screen format and on the Cathedral’s mobile app.
